My Comment on Asmongold TV’s Nobody Asked For Joker 2

Man, I hate musicals with a passion.  For a while, I stopped watching a lot of TV shows because they all had to include a friggin’ musical episode at the same time. It was exhausting to go through. It was like when a singer releases so many songs so quickly that it’s impossible to find a single (no pun intended) one of them memorable.

Some good comments:

I used to think that my life was a tragedy, but now I realize it’s a musical.
We already knew we lived in a society, we didn’t need more of it
When the main character gets kicked around and humiliated for most of the story and then finally stands up for themselves, people find it cathartic. It’s not about condoning their violent actions; it’s about the relatable desire to fight back after being mistreated. That sense of empowerment resonates with viewers, and enjoying that arc in a fictional movie doesn’t mean someone is a bad person. People understand feeling powerless and relate to the struggle, which is why revenge movies have always been popular.
Todd Phillips’ Joker embarrassed Hollywood’s cultural narrative. The sequel was his apology video.
My favorite theory is that Todd Phillips didn’t want to make a second movie but was forced to, so he made it as bad as he possibly could.
I agree with the last comment. Most of the time, I’d have to wear my `idiot` hat to be able to go through all the generic tropes, and the exact same regurgitated formula anyway.
