My reply:

Exactly. If you’re just minding your own business, and somebody calls you using a spoofed FBI number or something like that, and claimed that someone trafficked drugs using your name, you’re likely going to panic, and things can go horribly wrong from there. Nobody can or should expect oneself to be 100% alert every moment of every day regardless of their age or intelligence.

Sometimes you don’t even have to be called by someone to get scammed. You’d be just casually looking for a good deal or a good service, and by the time you realize it’s too good to be true, it’s already too late.
