My Comment on Asmongold TV Reacts to: The System Is Rigged Against Gen Z and Millenials

Feel free to watch Asmongold TV’s video through here.

31:40 I think the point of math is solving problems, but then again, I learned to solve all kinds of problems thanks to playing video games a lot growing up — spamming that ‘Try again’ button molded me into an unhuman-like persistent person. Growing up, I noticed that people always give up before I do even when I was the one doing all the work.

What I hated most about academia is that some teachers try to make you feel inferior for not being good enough at whatever it is they’re teaching. However, I also remember an awesome math teacher who said to us on the very first day, “Look, I respect all kinds of intelligence, so it’s totally fine if you’re not good at math.” That same teacher recommended that I watch Brubaker; what a great movie!

I was told that I needed math to become good with computers, but it turned out, my unhuman persistence to figure things out transcends any kind of school subject or field of study. I know it may seem cliché, but if you keep trying, you will eventually achieve whatever it is you’ve set out to do. Sometimes I almost cry and give up while trying to figure something out, but I push through that, and so when I find a solution, it’s even more satisfying, and that’s how I improve my ability to never give up day by day. Now it feels like delayed gratification is ingrained in my DNA, and I love it!
