Even when everything is sold at or near MSRP worldwide, here in Morocco, everything costs x2/x3 the price; that used to be frustrating, because it makes no sense to buy an RTX 3080 for the price of 2 RTX 3090s, but lately, the shamelessly scalped prices made me learn to appreciate money more by not recklessly buying things I don’t really need.
I still have a 5820K OC’d at 4.40GHz, running great with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 LED, and an RTX 2080 SUPER, which I was lucky enough to buy for €769.99 (including ~€128.33 VAT) back in December, 2019 from a French E-Commerce website called CDiscount, then my brother-in-law’s friend from France sent it to me via local post when he came to visit his parents here in Morocco.
Although I could easily bypass Windows 11’s TPM BS by using a basic executable from GitHub called Windows11Upgrade, I feel like I’m better off using Windows 10 until it becomes obsolete in 2025. So just like I went from Intel Core™ 2 Quad Q9300 straight to Core i7-5820K, I have no reason not to wait until Lunar Lake or Royal Core CPUs come out, because right now, besides the hype, and the mindless consumer culture, I have absolutely no reason to upgrade my current setup, and the draconian prices here in Morocco make the whole thing even less appealing, which is a good thing, considering that I was never able to save any money until 7 months ago. In other words, I got the real upgrade that I needed, if you catch my drift.
