I use ALT + 0151 for the em dash — assuming that’s the one you’re talking about. Back in high school, my English teacher once lifted my exam paper in the air like Rafiki did Simba, and then he told all my classmates that my writing didn’t have a single mistake of any kind. When I got my paper back, I noticed there was a red dot on an “i” that had already had a dot, so I jokingly said to the teacher, “Oh, wow, you just had to use the red pen so you wouldn’t feel like you weren’t doing your job, huh?” That made him chuckle uncontrollably. Out of all the teachers, he was probably the only one that made being a student not only tolerable, but also fun. Mr. Feddal, wherever you are, hats off to you, good sir!
