You can watch Louis' reply to Daniel Schurter's article through here.
Quoting Daniel (translation from German to English):
Rossmann has exaggerated in the matter.
In fact, the video's hanger is technical ignorance, paired with a clickbait title.
Because Louis has already obliterated the guy, I'm just going to tell you a story that happened to me back when I was still studying English at the Abdelmalik Essaadi University, so here it goes:
A classmate I was unfamiliar with messaged me via Facebook Messenger; I don't remember exactly what it was about, but his message was funny, so I was like, “Haha! You're fucking crazy, man! xD” Somehow that triggered the guy, and so he wrote a fairly long paragraph riddled with variations of “fuck”, and ending said paragraph with, “Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to wash my mouth with soap.” Then he blocked me. I was still a bit petty back then, so I logged in to a secondary Facebook account, and sent him a message saying:
Very Canadian of you.
– Your Worst Nightmare
A few months later, a female classmate wanted to ask me about something after we left the university for the day. While we were having a conversation, the guy standing next to her looked all squirmy for whatever reason, looking away and shit. Years later, I realized it was the same guy that blocked me. People like that guy whose name I don't remember, thank fuck, and this Swiss journalist have 1 majorly annoying thing in common: They both assume people like me and Louis are incompetent just because we made a harmless joke or said something in a way that anyone with common sense would simply ignore.
Me personally, I love it when people underestimate me or think they're somehow better than me at something because of something silly I said or did. I find it very cathartic because I know for a fact that I can prove them wrong without breaking a sweat. Heck, because I don't compete with anyone, there's no limit when it comes to self-improvement. It's why I can express myself freely without using ChatGPT or Claude or Gemini or whatever the fuck, and it's also why I don't need to riddle my blog with ads or affiliate links or ask for donations to provide for my family. Ads are a fucking cancer, and I made enough money from them in the past to know they're not worth my soul, so if you're reading this, dear stranger, do whatever you can to block ads on every device you own, starting with switching from Chrome to Firefox on your phone, and installing uBlock origin. For YouTube, you can use Grayjay or NewPipe. For blocking ads on the DNS level, give AdAway a try. I personally use all three, note that even before I used all 3, I always found a way to block ads on every device I own; I'm just THAT allergic to that malware shopping-addiction-inducing scam filth. If you're an advanced user or you aspire to be, you should also consider blocking ads on the router level, and for inspiration, here's a guide for that from Louis himself. My router does support AdGuard Home natively, but I don't find it very reliable, so I might look up something else later; our living room smart TV is already debloated into oblivion, and we use SmartTube, Jellyfin, and Emby, so there are no ads in sight, which is why I'm not in a rush to block ads on the router level.
Anyway, this Daniel fella really picked the wrong person to fuck with. Moral of the story: Never call people incompetent or ignorant when they're clearly making a joke about something; it only says more about you than it does them.
UPDATE 1:
Louis made a wrong assumption about an email I sent him, told me to fuck off and highlighted a tiny part of the email claiming that I was playing the victim while the whole point was: When you become obsessed with an AI pattern, you might ignore whether the information provided is correct or not. You may also make assumptions about content not generated by AI, which would be denigrating and disrespectful to people who pour their heart and soul into content. Apparently, me saying that made him assume I was being the victim. Sadly, I have a habit of deleting emails as soon as I'm done with them, so I didn't get a chance to keep a copy of the whole email correspondence. Before his totally unexpected reply, I had already decided to stop watching YouTube completely even through GrayJay, and I was planning on deleting his reply before even reading it, since the last time he replied, he just highlighted something I said, and added ellipsis. So since he's a busy guy who probably gets hundreds of emails a day, I didn't wanna bother him. Besides, what's the point of trying to have a conversation with someone who will either not reply to your message at all, or highlight a part of the email, and make the wrong assumption about it? I did go Jackie Chan on his ass after he pulled that crap, but I doubt he'll read my reply. Thing is, I'm not some corporation that needs a PR spin to defend itself, and luckily, I did keep a copy of my last reply (sent separately from the chain because I had initially planned not to reply to his retarded take) to his totally unexpected take on a tiny part of my email, so here it is:
Subject:
Ragebait? Really? Calling me a victim over something so trivial? Have the fucking balls to have a real conversation instead of pretending to be busy, you racoon-looking asshole!
Body:
All right, I'll bite. Were you a victim when you were ignored or given dirty looks by the 1% of people in Zurich for not saying “Hello” back? So why the fuck would you call me a victim for telling you that it's not a good idea to make light of the fact that some of us are good enough at written English that comparing our writing style to AI in a condescending “shouldn't be taken seriously” way is misguided? If I pour my heart and soul into an argument, and then get ignored (e.g., job application, important message to a company, etc.) just because of a stupid common AI pattern, then how's that a fair thing to do? You do realize that AI was trained on human input, don't you? Not necessarily on the spontaneous seemingly uneducated way regular people insta-message each other on a daily basis. Does AI-generated content have to be riddled with grammatical errors for it to earn your respect? And here I thought you were all about fairness, but here you are having such a retarded take by calling me a victim over something I'm totally unapologetic about. It's like you're looking for shit to be triggered about, man. It's pathetic, and totally fucking unhealthy.
Yes, the pattern is clear in the comments section, and it proves Blueprint's pathetic attempt at AI bot deployment to try and change the narrative by making the idea of building an AI data center sounds better even though it would go against the late owner's wishes, which is fucked up; even a fucking toddler can see that. No, not everyone that uses em dashes and the “not only this, but also this and that” automatically means it's AI slop. Is that so fucking hard for you to understand? Do you think I'm going to stop using that so-called AI pattern just because people like you hate it? It's a “chicken or the egg” kind of situation, so just because AI commonly uses that pattern doesn't mean it fucking invented it. We learned about that pattern in high school almost 20 fucking years ago for crying out loud! My point is, as long as the information is correct, fuck the pattern — it's irrelevant!
Obviously, I can always choose not to give a fuck about any of this, and that's why I compared my use of em dashes — along with that pattern — to you wearing sunglasses indoors in the first place, and yet you chose to focus on something else entirely by calling me a victim? Fuck outta here with that bullshit, man!
At least you're right about one thing, that is, you're biased as fuck, and YouTube is turning your sleep-deprived ass into a bitter fucking human being. Hope your loved ones don't suffer the fallout, you reading-comprehension-skill-lacking fuck! 🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕
In the words of Eminem's Stan, “This'll be the last message I ever send your ass!” This can't be me failing to see the irony, because I'm not a fan of anyone; I might only admire certain actions done by certain people in a certain situation, and your irrelevant assumption about me “acting like a victim” proves my point. I'd wish you luck in your future endeavors, but what's the point? You're just gonna focus on one tiny part of the whole message, and say some dumb shit again, so don't bother replying to this message, because I'm marking both your fulu and rossmann group emails as spam. You're too fucking bitter for me to have a civilized conversation with anyway, so just ignore what I said in the subject, fuckstick! Enjoy the rat race, dickhead!🖕
Poor Louis got used to shallow PR spins as responses to his unhinged rants that he thought he was “verbally invincible.” One more thing to quote from a Telegram message during a conversation with a buddy of mine discussing what went down:
Louis even compared the Swiss guy who called him “technically ignorant” in some article to the people who didn't say “hello back” to him on the street as part of the “1% of assholes in every country.” So in a way, he feels entitled to a certain kind of treatment, even from complete strangers. His petty behavior reminds me of how Bill Burr said the #MeToo movement was first about going after the worst of the worst, and then lately, it was more like a “bad date.” Unlike his petty ass, I never expect anything from anyone any-fucking-where, because it's just ridiculous to assume someone is an asshole from a lightening fast nonverbal interaction, which reminds me of an old high school friend who once told me that he bumped into me and apologized (this was before we became friends, apparently), and I gave him a dirty look, and moved along, to which I replied, “Huh? The fuck? Normally, when people bump into me, because I can tell it wasn't intentional, I don't even look back at them, especially since I'm way into the zone, listening to music and shit.”
So what can be interpreted as a “dirty look” could just be a person's resting bitch face, I can fucking guarantee it.This “change” was inevitable with or without Rossmann's retarded reply to my email, which reeked of, “I'mma read this shit at 10x speed, find something I can easily misinterpret as victimhood guilt-tripping bullshit, call you out on it, and let you seethe.” Man, what a loser!
What's crazy is that I had planned to stop using YouTube completely before I even checked my inbox that day, because normally, when I send a message to anyone, I delete the message, so that I can easily forget that I am expecting a reply until it shows up in my inbox. My reason for stopping using YouTube completely was simple: I got both AI and YouTuber fatigue where everyone's trying to either sell you something or guilt-trip you into doing something like there's always a call to action, so it's not enough to just watch the video, you have to like, comment, subscribe, donate, buy merch, sign a petition, walk the YouTuber's dog, mow their lawn… you get the idea. That shit's fucking mentally exhausting, man! Not to mention the never-ending formulaic approach, and then these pathetic lazy YouTubers have the balls to call AI-generated content “slop” as if their shit is any better where all they do is repeat the same shit over and over.
I have hundreds of movies and TV shows on my Emby and Jellyfin media servers, so I'd rather enjoy watching those than deal with YouTuber's never-ending high school drama; it's as if everyone has a fucking Peter Pan syndrome. I'm sure if scientists cared enough, they could easily prove that an NPC with followers can automatically turn into an unhinged entitled piece of shit. Luckily for me, I don't use any social platform anymore, and so blogging from time to time is just a harmless form of therapeutic writing.
Louis Rossmann, if you ever come across this blog post, GO FUCK YOURSELF, YOU RACOON-LOOKING PIECE OF SHIT!
UPDATE 2:
Looks like Louis did reply to my long reply to his accusing me of “playing the victim” even though I specifically told him not to bother (SpamAssassin somehow failed to filter out his reply), but since I had already told him that I wasn't going to read it, I kept my promise, and I deleted the message, emptied the trash the second I read my old Subject header, while I was selecting all the daily new notification emails I get from the servers/websites that I manage. Apparently, he didn't take the fucking hint, which made me realize something: Louis sees the world from a mommy-issues-ridden lens (focusing on patterns like playing the victim, BPD, bipoloar, etc.), so if you contact him privately, and he stumbles upon your message, if he finds any of the patterns he's unhealthily obsessed with even if that pattern represents 0.01% of the whole message (and could still be misinterpreted), he'll just quote that part, and reply to it in an incoherent way with 0 regard for the English language, which means, if it's not a rant in front of a camera or a reply to a ridiculous comment (which he calls the “pin of shame”) in the YouTube comments section, the dude's basically a complete fucking retard. So it's not about him not having the time to reply to 500+ emails he gets daily as he claims (wish he had stuck to that instead of making a complete fool out of himself); it's more about the performative algorithm-driven aspect of it all, i.e., if his ideas won't be seen by a lot of people, he doesn't have to put in any kind of effort at all. 2 of his 4 last replies were literally “…”, and “no time”. Normally, when I email someone who's famous on the Internet, I never expect any kind of reply, and so I never ever end my message with something like, “I look forward to hearing from you.” Because for me, first of all, I rarely email people, and when I do, it's a replacement for a comment, since I don't use social media anymore, meaning I have no Gmail, no Facebook, No Instagram, No TikTok, no Reddit, no fucking nothing. Heck, even when I did watch YouTube, it was via GrayJay or Invidious. Since the asshole had no problem making assumptions about me by accusing me of playing the victim, I think it's only fair that I give him a taste of his own medicine. What's crazy is the fact that my point about AI patterns was philosophical, and it was worth discussing further, but I guess it was easy for me to assume that I was asking him for a public apology or some ridiculous shit like that even though the whole point was: Look, we shouldn't dismiss people's points just because they're AI-generated. Some of us can express ourselves well without the need for AI (or LLMs, to be precise) as a tool, while others can't. We should focus more on the validity of the content; not whether there's a pattern that involves an em dash or, “It's not this—it's this, this, and that.”
In a way, I'm glad Louis reacted the way he did. It's a reminder that arguing with unhinged sleep-deprived fools is pointless although, when it comes to him, it's more about pragmatism and clout, i.e., if I were some fancy CEO or politician or activist for some very known foundation, he would've had no problem showing me the respect of either ignoring my email completely or writing a coherent reply instead of once again, making a complete fool out of himself. And then people wonder why most people on the Internet don't interact with the content they consume in any meaningful way. My only regret is that instead of sending him a long-ass reply after he accused me of playing the victim, I should've just said some normie-ass shit like, “It's not that deep, bro. Chill.” Oh, well. 🤷🏻♂️
I'm also glad that the last few people (namely Gamers Nexus, Ross Scott, and ThioJoe) I emailed had the self-respect not to reply at all although Gamers Nexus has an email that's like a honeypot for trolls, so it makes sense for them not to reply at all even when my email was objectively sincere and trolling-free. My email was about an issue (Stop Killing Games) that I couldn't really be involved in even if I wanted to, being outside the EU and NA, so once again, I still wasn't expecting a reply, so my email was akin to a comment from a consumer who was concerned about ownership in today's world. The only time that I would be pissed for not getting a reply is when a company owes me a refund or something like that, and they keep finding ways to stall. As for YouTubers who'd rather reserve their mental energy for creating content, I have absolutely no reason to be pissed at them for not replying, but obviously, anyone who bothers to reply, and fucking act like they got me all figured out, they shouldn't be surprised when I go verbally Jackie Chan on their ass.
Anyway, speaking of being obsessed with patterns in an unhealthy way, the next time I come across a video featuring someone who has the demeanor of Mark Zuckerberg interacting with people while looking like they just pulled that boom mic they're holding out of their ass, I'll know it's a red flag instantly, i.e., it's not someone you can have a productive conversation with, especially when no one is looking and there are no likes or views or donations involved.
