There are several flaws with his attempt at an analogy. Another one is that Hitler does not profit from people being vegetarian, but JKR does profit off consumers of Harry Potter content.

@Wesley the point is not who invents what; it’s more about the absurdity of hating on someone’s inventions due some beliefs they hold that you don’t agree with. By that logic, we shouldn’t be using YouTube, because it’s an American company, and the Unites States has committed a lot of atrocities over the centuries.
@Wesley She profits from her IP; not from stating a biological fact or being called a TERF; whatever the f*ck that means. Many people still call Daniel Radcliffe Harry Potter, so the fact that these so-called gaming journalists think that somehow Rowling’s beliefs cause harm is ridiculous, especially when most people don’t care about who invented what, but rather use, and enjoy the invention. Even if Rowling decides to bomb 20 children’s hospitals tomorrow, it won’t make me regret watching or playing the franchise, and I don’t even consider myself that big of a fan. It doesn’t mean she gets a pass for doing something horrible; it just means her intellectual property has nothing to do with her personal beliefs. In other words, I don’t really give a flying f*ck who created Harry Potter, just like I don’t care who the founder of Google or YouTube or Microsoft or Amazon is. In other, other words, if I saw a painting, and said, “Wow, it’s beautiful!” then told 2 seconds later that it was painted by Hitler, I wouldn’t be like, “Ew, disgusting painting!” That only shows signs of a weak personality or probably some serious mental condition.
